"Kumbhamela Background - Story"
The name is also derived from the "Kumbha" Rashi-Masa (Aquarius) astrological symbol, the festival and the Kuruha Mela, and may be a symbol of the occasion when angels and demons fought to obtain a pot or "kumbha". Those who got Kumbha and consumed them will get immortality. It is noted that the Kumbh Mela was held after the Kumbha was taken and after it had been dumped in four places by the drops of elixir.
The next Kumbh Mela will be held at Haridwar in 2021
